In her role at The USAA Educational Foundation, Alecia leads the production of external facing financial education content with key nonprofit partners while also supporting the communications and marketing of the organization’s owned channels.
Alecia is an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) with more than two decades of experience serving the military community through prior leadership roles at Cohen Veterans Network and the Military Saves Campaign. She also brings notable experience from her tenure at USAA with roles in the Bank and Corporate Communications & Public Affairs.
As a military spouse of a retired Army officer, Alecia supported her family through five deployments and 10 permanent change of station (PCS) moves. She is passionate about the challenges facing military families and veterans, especially their financial security.
Alecia is the recipient of two Commander’s Awards for Public Service and one Patriotic Public Service Award for her volunteer work in Army Family Readiness Groups.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, English Literature and Secondary Education and a Master of Science in Communications Management from Simmons University in Boston, Mass.
